Radiator to (Bonnet Duct) duct..

Radiator to (Bonnet Duct) duct..
Hi guys, came up with this idea to address a few issues...
- Try to duct hot air out before it gets into ITBs (J's carbon bonnet with duct)
- Improve cooling on the track
Question is, am i moving backwards by not allowing much air to reach the engine? Does the engine require moving air to cool it or is it purely the coolant's job?
With regards to the ITBs, i intend to run a cooling pipe drawing hot air from the hole leading to to the left fender.
Thanks from hearing me out and appreciate any comments..
Cheers

weird, I have a J's carbon bonnet, an ARC rad plate.. and was trying to design/construct something very similar to what you have done..
I don't have ITB's.. so I had thought the shield/plate would also prevent some heating up of my AEM intake...and push the exiting air out over the top of the car rather than through the vents in the undertray.. so there must be some small aero benefit?
Once you have removed the airbox..the car looks empty..with the cross beam not being exactly eye catching.. so it's good to finish off with something..
I would be also interested to hear opinions.. my thought would be that the engine is designed to be fully cooled by the water system..and with a regular bonnet, there would not be much airflow anyway near the top of the engine.

Angle it like they do on the J's race cars and you will have maximum efficiency.
