Default radiator

long story short...something hit the A/C condenser and Radiator condenser (looks like a bullet went through it...so im installing a new radiator but im having trouble removing the bottom water hose (things are a bitch to take off)...i removed the 2 fans and took the HUGE airbox out so i have room to work...any suggestions on how to remove the bottom water hose????

also...i believe the thermostat is right next to it, how to i unclip it from the wireharness (pretty hard to see from above)

The thermostate housing is where the lower rad hose clamps onto. If you can get at that without going from below, you have the arms of rubberman.

It's been a while since I've been under there, so can't tell you how much there is in the way of getting at the clamp. It's a tough go even from underneath.

i recently swapped in a koyo radiator, i did lift the car, but only on jacks, i didn't do any work to remove my stock damaged ratior/install koyo from under car. Only jacked it up so i could fit a bucket under the car to catch coolant. My only advise is to leave the two brackets on top that hold the radiator intact until you are ready to pull it. It makes it a lot easier to pull some of the stubborn hoses off if it's still anchored well @ the top, i found my self just fighting with it for a while. You really cant hurt too much, just make sure all lines/plugs get reattached. I almost missed a plug that was hanging right down by my belt, would have for sure eventually be caught in the belt and destroyed if i didn't do a last check before turning on the car.

thanks for the advice, i jus kept at it and i got the hose off!

im working on it now, i jus have 1 last thing to go....the thermostat

im having trouble figuring out how to remove it...i thought i had to unscrew it but i realized it was molded onto the frame of the radiator...so im guessing its directly with the wireharness...how do i remove it??????

quick response would be appreciated...working on the car NOW

The thermostat is in the engine, not the radiator.

You talking about the fan switch? There's a brass threaded insert molded into the radiator. The fan switch is threaded in. Put a big wrench on that sucker and pull. It'll come out.
