Mikey, I'll be interested to know if you have the same chirping that I did with PPs. It started after they were bedded good. Some extra anti-seize on the shims may have cured it, but I haven't had the chance to try it yet.

It uses a sensor at each wheel that detects the wheels not turning or turning at a different rate with the brakes on . When it detects a wheel sliding it shuts off petal pressure from master cylinder and reduces pressure to wheel that's not turning, as soon as wheel starts to turn ABS pump pulses pressure to that same wheel to keep wheel from locking up , but still braking car

I have not studied the ABS system in great detail , but you could possibly be correct , the CPU could be programmed to pulse both rear wheels at the same time. But looking at plumbing and wiring diagrams it looks like a true 4 channel ABS system . It is possible to pulse both rear wheels , but I would not know the reason that they would want to do that . The ABS works independently from the braking system relying on wheel sensors to detect problems . This allows the modification of the braking system with out losing ABS benefits . I would be interested in the manual that you found this information . I would like to try to figure out why Honda would want to do this.

dwb1:

ABS info is in the car's service manual. Buy a copy here.

ABS is in fact 3-channel. See the diagram on page 19-41. The rear wheels can not be easily controlled independently due to the presence of the limited slip differential.

I have service manual I looked up 19-41 ladder diagram does show 3 channel . We have been working on plumbing only , not the electrical side of ABS . I agree with you, Limited slip is most likely reason for both wheels working at the same time . It looks like either rear wheel can start ABS but once activated both will be pulsed.
