Default Quick question for window regulator, window switch

Hello All,

I have a small problem, the passenger window does not go up. I made the mistake of assuming it was the motor and I order one =) Of course I connect it to test it and the only thing that happened is that it went down and it wont go up.

I tested the new and the old engine with 12 volts and both go up and down.
The switch is sending -12 volts, no matter what position it is. At this time I think the problem is the switch but I would rather confirm than buying a second part.

Do you guys agree it is the switch?

bump, I got the passenger switch and I got the same result.

I looked at this thread but he did not say what was the solution:

I checked fuses 17, 18 and 8 and they all look good.

Should i just get the master switch too?

All right, I found my issue. The main switch was broken so it was sending the signal to go down all the time.

tvmendoza, EXACTLY my issue, word-for-word. All fixed with salvaged driver’s main from eBay $70. Easy. You saved me a lot of time!
