I can go out and buy brand new oem rotors right now. But i do not see the need to waste money on brand new rotors when i had the possibly of getting lightly used ones for only 50 dollars... seriously. It's not very hard to understand. Rotors do not need to be brand new to be usable, and i'm not tracking the car.

Why does this forum always take a quick stance of, "if you can't afford, you shouldn't have bought this car"

Agree with the OP. More often than not, anything that is preceded by "And I mean this in the nicest way possible" is almost always an inappropriate, assholish comment.

To assume that because the OP wants to save some money that he "can't afford" maintenance is quite a jump. I do agree though that if you can get direct OE replacements for $60, then paying $50 for used rotors is silly.

the OEM he is talking about are 60 a piece.

50 for the used rotors is for all 4.

Good rule of thumb - buy parts made for the car in question. Especially when you're talking about something critical, like brakes. I don't know about fitment issues, but even if the Civic rotors are the same metal compound and designed to work with the same pads, you don't know if they are designed to work on the S properly for friction and cooling. I don't think I'd roll the dice to save $70.

I had the ability to test fit them before i bought them FYI.

I wouldn't purchase them if they didn't fit.

<3, you're right. But i'd have to go purchase an impact screwdriver to get that damn screw out, as i don't have a drill (seriously need to get one...)

My buddy has them off his car though, so i'd probably have just test fit them.

Besides, saves myself some work if someone knew the answer...

I'll probably just pick up the blanks for 60 bucks a piece and and be happy with my purchase.

If the first 5 numbers are the same does that mean the part is the same?
If so, then its all the same, rotors & pads.
If not, then ... not.

If they do fit you have a nice deal.
If they don't you can stil use them on your SI

Looks like a win/win/win to me.
The 3rd win is you telling us SI rotors fit the S2000 - or not.
