The leading end of the slot should be that closest to the hat.
Do you mean like this:// --->front of the car.
Or like this:\\--->front of the car.

Installed my Brenbo rotors today,they work like a charm,and look like a "million" dollars.

Bringing this thread back from the dead for a simple and stupid question. I'm replacing my front rotors and I can't get the back caliper bolts off. Not the ones that you remove when replacing pads, but the giant ones on the part that doesn't move with the rest. Please tell me that somehow it's not necessary to remove these. Otherwise, do these follow the same "lefty loosey" rule as everything else? I can't tell because they won't budge either way. Thanks.

Yep just remember with those bolts because of your orientation to it, lefty loosey righty tighty is "Opposite"
