Default Quick Oil Banjo Bolt Question

Just purchased a turbo and wanted to update the bolts just as a precaution.(Have a 00 and need to swap oil pans with the tapped one). I have read the DIY and it seems pretty striaight foward. I just had a question about cylinder 1 and it being a PITA to get too. I would hate to mess something up when the problamatic cylinder is number 4(From what i read). If I were to change the 3 bolts (cylinder 2-4) with the new design and leave cylinder 1 with the old design, is there any negative impacts to doing this.

I would hate to strip or mess something for something that wont make a difference at least in cylinder 1. I have read numerous post, here in the us and in europe, of cylinder 4 getting damaged due to this.

Thanks in advance.

you could end up scoring one cylinder instead of four cylinders, if you are going through the process do all four bolts. You'll kick yourself in the butt if you don't do it. Despite the location the one bolt isn't overly hard to do.

So what's the point of doing all that work then? Took me almost 10 hours, though I did do it alone.

Cylinder #4 was hard. I bent my oil pickup slightly out of the way when I was doing mine. It was close and I thought I stripped the thing at one point. I said **** it, had a beer and tried it again. Voila!

When you go forced induction you are introducing a lot more heat into the engine and you can kill any of the four cylinders withou the proper bolts. While the naturally aspirated engines affect primarily cylinder four, with forced induction any of the cylinders can be affected if not properly cooled. Try to do all four while you are in there.
