Default Quick HT removal ?

Hey guys, do I need to remove my OEM catchers to go back to my soft top? I was hoping to just have to deal with disconnecting the driver side rear defroster harness, rather than change out all the catchers to the other OEM soft top catchers. Yes the hardware is OEM and yes I'm hoping to be lazy. Thoughts?

Oh and sorry if this is in the wrong area, found some HT topics under this section when I ran a search.

Not sure what you are asking. Remove hardtop from car, operate softtop as usual.

Just checking, the hard top has been on a while and I couldnt remember if I had to change the latches from the OEM HT hardware back to the soft top ones it came with. I bought HT with OEM hardware so I still have the originall mounting stuff we changed out. I do believe I have to remove the defroster wiring to enable back the defroster for the soft top, is that right?

I think he was asking if he had to replace the strikers with the old ones. The answer is no. A lot of people actually buy the hard top strikers to use with their soft tops to reduce wind noise.

No, you do not have to remove the defrost wire. Just unplug it. If the hardtop isn't plugged in, the softtop defrost should work automatically.

Ah, I was confused by catcher vs striker. Yeah, keep using the hardtop strikers with the softtop, they will work fine.
