Questions on rebuilding block
Due to either a messed up piston ring or scored cylinder wall (most likely the latter), i'm considering a rebuild. Can anyone give me an price estimate on resleeving 1 cylinder and/or replacing piston ring(s) for a single piston? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Your opening up a can of worms. Are you going to do the labor, or will someone other than your self be doing the labor? At this point in time, we are not sure what the stipulations are until your motor gets torn down. Maybe it doesn't need to be sleeved? I wouldn't just re-ring one cylinder, I would hone all the cylinders and re-ring all of them while the motor is apart. Whats the difference whether you break-in one cylinder or all four cylinders. I don't even know if you can just buy rings for one piston anyhow? Depending on labor costs, it could be anywhere from $1,000 to $5,000 depending on how many parts are needed. Are the rod and main bearings ok? Does the head need any refurbishing while it is removed? There are a lot of variables here. The least your going to need are piston rings, possible sleeve, and gaskets and labor.

All I know is that there is a 1/3 less compression in the 4th cylinder then there should be, all the other ones are fine. I found this out because I recently had my car's VAFC dyno tuned. I put down 189rwhp with the VAFC tuned, Spugen Cat-back dual exhaust, and AEM CAI.
I guess i'll have to have the motor taken apart like you said, to find the exact problem
