Default Question For Xviper-- Drilling Holes In The Airbox To Increase Flow???

Xviper, I was surfing through the group buys and noticed a pic you took of a Spoon snorkel style shaft which leads to the OEM airbox. My question is this...

Will drilling a few holes in the wall between the entrance and the factory air filter (Red Circle) increase air flow??? I'd think so but would like your thoughts...

Also, (Circled in Yellow) why is this bend so narrow? I know it's to clear the chassis but thought it would be uniform from the entrance to airbox attachment... any gains from your install???

There's also an L shaped "passageway" on the top side of the airbox that restricts air flow into the filter area. You'd have to modify that as well. Imo, I don't see why not. More air the better!

From what everyone with the spoon duct says, they (Spoon) tell you in the instructions that come with thte duct to remove the wall and the "L" in the airbox and to also plug the resonator hole. I have done this to mine already and plan on getting a duct to go with it and the Sprint filter I just installed.

I believe the bend is narrow because it has to clear the hood, and there's very little space between the hood and the cross beam.

There's been threads about removing all the baffles inside the airbox, but noone has solid proof whether that provides any benefits at all.

Since you already have so many nice things in your car, it deserves to have the Mugen intake too.
