Default question on upper rear control arm

I just replaced the bearings on my car over the weekend and had the entire knuckle assembly detached, so i had the chance to check out the control arms. One thin i noticed is that the upper control arms seems rather stiff, like its hard to push up or down. I was under the assumption that it should move freely up or down right?
Is this normal, or i wonder if the previous owner bolted these a lil too tight?!?

or maybe the bushing has seized if thats possible?

Normal. The inner sleeve is rigidly bolted to the body. You're twisting the rubber bushings any time you move the arm up or down.

That's also why all the control arm mounting bolts are supposed to be torqued when the vehicle is at ride height. Those suckers are pretty stiff and will really jack up a vehicle's height if they're tightened with the hub hanging all the way down.

Yep, its called clocking bushings. It needs to be done to all the effected bushings when you remove or loosen the bolts.
