wow, chris if i were really scared id do what i did. i had my brother n cousin at each end attempt to compress the dampers on each side, make sure that they didnt bend it and try to compress it at an angle. i stayed in the middle of the hood n slightly pull'd down. the dampers suddenly seem to slowly go down by itself.

I had this damper also, installed it yesterday. Yeah 1st time was definitely tight. After that it's real smooth. By the way I think using bodyweight to push down the damper is useless. I tried it but they are still hard even for so many times. But they are so easy when they are installed. Must be some prof angle calculation design. Overall, I am just so happy with this.
