aren't you able to compress them while off the car first then install?

that should work right? only the first time is stiff... then install em? i dont think yours are defective in anyway, everyones was stiff... i tried to compress mine before installing and had a hard time... so i jus installed em and it eventually gave in..

before you install set one end on floor between feet and "exercise" the shock.. in and out. for like 10minutes approx 100+ in's out's

the shocks are just fir because the fluid has been sitting there for a while not moving. and needs to be loosened up.. also HOT weather will casue them to move easier..

try that and see what happens.. mine first time were ultra stiff and bonnet didnt wanna close

i've been "exercising them for a few days (sporadically) and it's been an exercise in itself....those things are so damn tight! i'll give the install another go this weekend

its like when u were in 10th grade.. trying to score with a cheerleader..

its tight at first but persistence/perserverence pays off in the end..
