just wondering if I can use the 2nd perch for stock springs. Would it be ok without any lowering springs?

Ohh.. its possible.
Technically.
IMO it would (maybe even seriously) upset / change the handling of your car.
So I would think twice about it.
IOW don't do it![nono.gif](https://www.s2ki.com/forums/images/smilies/nono.gif)
on the koni shocks, is it possible to use the 2nd perch for teh front only and leave the rear stock. or would i have to lower all 4 perches?

Just so you guys know, the distance you lower the perch on the shock does not equate to the distance the car is lowered. The car is lowered more than the perch difference. This is because the shock is mounted closer to the fulcrum or pivot point. Duh.
I'd guess that a half inch perch difference would result in somewhere around a 3/4 difference at the wheel.
The Koni's have a softer low speed compression than the stock shocks. This will result in more compression per a hit and when you couple this with a lowering, it's likely you'll smash the front of your car on driveways and stuff.
Have fun.

it's about a .75" drop with just the Konis on the lower perch. Due to the geometry even though the perch is .5" lower the length of the arm adds another ~.25" to actual drop.
i'm riding on stock AP1 2003 springs and have tracked the car. I love this setup!!! I can't speak any more highly of it. Yes, it could use a more dropped look but driving a crapload of miles everyday makes you place a premium on ride quality. Koni shocks set to low on stock springs handles much better than most ppl expect. On the track set to full stiff and i'm loving life. My track skills haven't quite reached the point where i'm going to reap the rewards of needing a better suspension. until that point.. i'm leaving it stock.
pic of drop of stock springs and koni lower perch if you're interested.
