Default Question for Comptech Supercharged people

What type of oil are you guys using in your supercharged S2000?
I am using Mobil synthetic 1030. I have a problem with oil leaking from the valve right below the air intake tube. I brought the car to a local Honda dealer and have them checked out my supercharged. The mechanic told me that some how the oil is being pushed out of the crank case cover air tube and it leaks out at the valve below the air intake tube. He said may be I put too much oil in the engine or the supercharged generated so much pressure that cause the oil to leak out of the crankcase air tube. I checked the oil level and it is at the right level and oil is still leaking out. Does anyone have any idea why is this happening? Could it be because I use synthetic oil? There is no power lose, it is just leaking oil. Please help....

I use redline 10-40. I have had a few oil leaks but only because the VTEC bracket broke causing the oil to spurt out...was not a pretty site. But I have never had any other problems with the oil leaking. Let us know what the diagnosis is if they do ever find out.

Oh yea, I forgot to add...once my bolt for the lower spacer bracket came undone causing it to poke a hole in the oil return line...I thought I was leaking oil from the timing chain cover but it was actually oil leaking from the return line and dripping down the loose bolt and ending up on the front of the block. You might want to check that. The lower spacer bracket is the round bracket below the VTEC bracket.

Thanks you everyone, I think Rspec99 pretty much pin down the problem. I think the vacuum generated by the SC's impeller is the cause or may be both of them together. Is it safe to just block of the vent of the crancase ventilation or I must use the breather method.
I really appreciate this forum, again thanks guys.

wow you supercharged guys are the longest winded of anyone in these forums, nice change i can't stand those guys who say 4 words and their signature is longer than what they had to say, which probably wasn't important. It's a nice change to hear people who know what the'yre talking about, thanks!!

Mine does the same, but it is a very small amount. Nothing that I worry about. I have used Castrol GTX full sytec 10-30 with a Mobil 1 extended life oil filter. No problems and I dont burn oil. Currently at 65k, car runs strong
