Default Question about replacing my convertible top

I'm trying to purchase a new convertible top because my old current one was pretty much destroyed from someone cutting it open with a knife when they broke into my car. Mines an' 03 sk2 and i was able to find one on ebay for a reasonable price. Its not a kit or anything though its just the top and the window. The guy said it should work since all I need to do is replace the top. The DIY thread i was reading ( https://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.ph...T&f=1&t=448840 ) shows the guy using a lot of the stuff that came with the kit so i'm not sure which route to take.

Heres a link to the auction:

Any second opinions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
-Ryun

For the price you can't really beat it. However, I've done a few soft top installs and it's a pain in the ass. It can be done but I recommend having a friend with you and a 12 pack to calm yourself down.

haha yeah I got a couple friends who is more than willing to help me out; they also asked for a 12 pack lol. Just wanted to make sure there wasn't anything else we were going to need as far as parts go for the installation aside from the convertible top and window

why not do it through insurance for $300 bucks detectable ? can probably even make money if you play things right.
