The SC'd Cobras gang has been running NGK TR6 copper plugs, preferred over the standard platinum plugs. Some have been running Iridiums (Iridia?).
The term for the phenomenon Xviper described is "spark blowout". It is easy to see on the dyno, because at elevated RPM and boost on cars with undersize pulleys, near the HP peak the dyno plot goes all squirrely - bumping up and down as the engine fires/misfires. So they have been running narrower gaps (below .040") on those cars.
You really have to experiment, dyno, and then see what others have experienced.
