Default question about my tranny

So yesterday it was very hot. Maybe around 90 degrees. I was spirt driving my car for about 5 mins. Meaning I was flooring it around some turns and twist. Well after I stopped I noticed my car would not go into 1st and 2nd gear.. sometimes into 2 if I pushed hard and gave it some gass. I got the car home and turned it on today and it felt fine. Maybe alittle ruffer then normal sometimes.. what do you think may be wrong? Maybe the fluid got to hot? Or low on fluid? I have a 05 with 29k miles

Temperature could break down MTF fluid but it's not going to do that in five minute hard driving in 90 degree weather(which is NOT that hot to be honest)

do you have a leak in the drive train?

we wouldn't know the fluid level on your car so please look for previous service record and such..lol

hard to engage into gear could be a number of thing, low/old MTF fluid, dry shifter tunnel, leaky mc/sc on the clutch system(not engaging all the way)

Hmm I don't think anything is ealking because I never notice anything on the ground so I don't think that is the issue. I think I just need to change my fluid .. how often do you need to change it?

i think honda recommends every 15,000 miles, should change the diff oil at the same time.
I just did mine and it shifts a little better. I used Redline MT90 for the trans & Mobile 75w90 LS for the diff

I dont know if its normal, but now its a little hard to shift into gear until the car is warmed up. Might be the Redline, but Ive used it on other cars no problem. Maybe next time Ill try the Honda fluid.

Me? depends on how many track miles it has over the period of time

so it's from 6k to 9K for trans and diff

not a single issue at 130k

I would change the fluid. I get rough/nothcy shifting when my fluid gets bad. I change it every 5k or so.

BTW you're going to love the 4.77's.
