Default Question about Headers with Comptech SC 7lb pulley

Guys i need some advice about my setup - Currently i have a Comptech SC + Aftercooler with a 7lbs Pulley and 440cc injectors. Just Dynoed the car (Dynojet) and it producing 310whp.

If i replace my stock headers and maybe go with a straight pipe would this make a small / medium / huge difference?

Any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks.

I have the same setup, but without the injectors yet. I dont think the headers will make a big difference. I am trying to get my Emanage installed with the injectors. AEM will probably be better but to much cash right now. If havent done so yet, some ecu tuning will be the best bet for more power.

I have a Spoon header and a T1R with a streight pipe and on a dynojet I saw 26whp (search for user "Dubai" he has a similar set up and gained 23whp with the cat). So since you are not NA but SC, it will be even better.Do not listet to the nonbelievers and go for the same setup.Toda header cracks, Mugen is doing shit, Spoon or Amuse is the way to go.Regarding exhaust, keep it single, the T1R is the best bank for your $$$$

Ive heard that the comptech headers is the best combo with the comptech SC because it was mad for it.

Like Jackson(revhi), I have the same FI setup but with stock injectors. Using a simple VAFC-II, we hit 317 rwhp(310 w/o). I'm using my cat and the Invidia exhaust.

I, too, would be interested in emperical data.

Did you actually dyno before and after the install? Did you get all three pieces installed at the same time? Where the conditions the same? I think you got your biggest gain from the single exhaust. 26 whp is a great, but Ive heard more negative stuff about headers than positive. For 1500 bucks Id rather get an AEM than a header.

I have the Comptech header. It IS a big defference over the stock header. I don't have the 7lbs. pulley or IC yet, but it is alot better than the stock header with my setup. I have a gutted CAT and Apexi N-1. My car put 300 whp. with the stock Comptech pulley.

So what I am saying is I give the Comptech Header

Better to be "safe" than sorry... and realize a gain.

That is amazing that you got 300hp w/o an aftercooler. What kind of dyno?

I removed the factory exhaust and used Toda header, straight pipe and Amuse dual. I also added large injectors and my horsepower after tuning was the same. The factory headers flow real well but are very heavy.
