hey everyone. i have ordered a comptech supercharger and i was wondering if gauges are a necessity. i have a HKS boost gauge but that is it. will the kit be well enough that you won't need to monitor fuel pressure and EGT's? those are the two other gauges i plan to get but don't have the money right now. if it is a necessity i will find a way to get them but i was just wondering if i will be all right without those two for a little while.

thanks

Matt

air/fuel gauges are pretty nice to have with any F/I.

yeah, a/f is good. since you'll have a/f info, you will logically know if the fuel is off, so a pressure gauge isn't necessary. boost is good to have to watch for belt slippage. these are the only gauges you 'need' if you are just running the original comptech kit.

Well the problem with A/F gauge is that they dont really tell you a lot of information. They jump around and it is hard to read them with any kind of accuracy. You also shouldnt need a EGT gauge because that is more for a turbo setup. I have a boost gauge and an oil temp gauge and that works just fine for me.
