Question about 04 Mugen exhaust
Hey guys,
I tried asking this in the main forum and didn't get a response. Does anyone know if the 04 Mugen exhaust will fit earlier model S2000s? If not, what's the difference between the two exhausts (04 and 00-03)?

it wont fit earlier models... the hanger positions on the exhaust are specific for only the 04, basically its the same reason why many exhausts dont go on the 04..Honda changed the hanger points on the underside of the car for the exhaust, and the new mugen exhaust was made for 04 only...

the only stumbling block i can see is that the '04 Mugen tips are bigger and angled....so they may not clear the pre-'04 exhaust cutouts.
the '04 cutouts are HUGE in comparison to the older cars.

Well king i would amagine would just be trying to sell the newer exhaust. I have a 04 exhaust on my 03 so the hangers will work. The best thing you could do is find someone with the exhaust and do a test fit.
