Questin on VAFC Harness

no it shouldn't. i forgot that i half way installed the VAFC because after i was done hooking up all wires and then put in my car i never plug the one thing into the VAFC. went to work came home went to bed and work to drive my car, the car was doing the same thing your car was. my dad has a thing to check the codes and 2 of them came up. a map sensor code and something else i forgot. i would not drive it like that.

The car will not run right. The harness wires the VTEC lead in series. If you have no VAFC, then you have no VTEC lead to connect back to the ECU.
The ECU will barf.

W/ the harness and no V-AFC plugged into it the ECU won't see the VTM signal or more importantly the MAP sensor signal. Also the VTEC solenoid will never get a signal to click on.

Thanks, i was just wondering cause people have told me that it should work. I just wanted to know if there was something wrong with my car. Thanks for all the help!
