Default putting 04 motor/trans into 00 chassis

Alright, I've read a couple of posts using the search but just wanted to be sure..

1) the current harness should connect cleanly to the 04 ecu and engine? without cuting, etc?
2) I heard i might gain a bit more power using my 00 ecu? (dont worry i wont rev over 8k) -
3) other things I need to watch out for? or need to buy for this swap to be completed?
4) a guy swpping out the motor advised me that they may charge me extra if they have to remove the od harness and add the 04 one.. that is why i am hoping they are the same..

thanks everyone for the help!

1. Yes
2. Yes and No. The problem is that over 7.5K the A/F ratio goes rich.
3. Nothing. Plug and play. JUst bolts in.
4. Both the 04 and pre-04 harnesses are the same.
