Push button clutch from 5Zigen in their RSX typeR, thoughts?
This month's Super Street shows the 5Zigen RSX TypeR race car and they have what they call a Twin Mode Clutch System. Basicly it's an electric pump/pressure res. with an in and out for your hydraulic clutch line and a push button that goes on your shift knob. Push the button, the pump hits the clutch, let off the button it lets off the clutch.
Kind of like the early VW beetles "Sportomatic" Transmissions.
Sounds like cool idea to me, almost like a Psuedo-Sequential kinda thing.
I emailed them to see if they are going to be releasing the unit or if it's a one-off setup for their race car.
What do you guys think about it?

...maybe there is the only way I can not do double-clutch and heel and toe...
I think it is very weird,
what are the benefit? maybe it is for people can not control the clutch.
kinda reminds me the first clutchless manual from Saab

ahh it was discussed in S2000 talk, I usually don't read there very often, I fugured something THAT fundamentally mechanical would've been talked about here in under the hood.
sorry!
So did anyone ever try it?
