pulling code

I think the ABS codes are not stored in or read by the OBDII system. At least, not on my car. There is actually an entirely different interface port for the ABS.
I think this may indicate that the ABS codes are stored in the ABS controller, as opposed to being stored in the ECU (like the OBDII codes).
I can't imagine why the codes would come on with the A/C, unless maybe this is all a sign of a bad alternator. Perhaps when the A/C comes on the voltage drops too low and it triggers a fault in the ABS computer?

^ the code doestn come on with the a/c on. what i meant by that was that i cannot use my a/c when the abs light is on, and it always seems to happen when its hot out. i also would like to fix it just in case i need the abs system in an emergency.. if the light is on i believe that means the abs system will not work.
i know the abs codes are stored separately and cannot be pulled with the obd reader, but i have swear i have read somewhere that you can pull abs codes with the paperclip method, as this works with the engine/abs/eps system (as far as i have read). i am familiar with this as i have tried it before, using the usual method (with car off, and ignition turned to on) but the code is so erratic that the times i try it, the abs light is off and it will not pull the code, hence me wondering if it were safe to attempt to pull this code while the abs light is on (and this only happens on rare occasions when the car is running, the light is never on solid for a period of days, etc.)
Edit: I also wish not to take it to the dealer because i dont want them to just tell me they couldnt emulate the problem/make the light come on because that is just a waste of time, and it always happens to work that way when you take it in for situations like this.

The honda HDS scanner is the best way to retreive ABS codes. only honda/acura dealerships will posess this scanner. you may be able to short the dlc connector pins to flash abs codes, but it may only be able to flash one code. The HDS connects directly to the ABS unit/computer to read stored codes. When your ABS light is on, you will not have ABS as it will be in a fault mode. best bet is to just do it right and have a dealership scan the vehicle and at least provide you with a code (usually $100). Dont do it the cheap way, you might regret it. just my two cents. hope this helps!!
