Default Pulled off rubber seal/strip on top of headlights...

I bought a set of JDM style (clear diffusers) USDM AP1 headlights that I installed myself. During the install, I noticed the thin rubber seal/strip on the top was brittle, cracked and coming off. I got frustrated, completely removed them from both headlights, and finished the install. My headlights have never been 100% perfectly flush with my fenders (not worried about the aesthetics of that), and now they're a little less close to flush since the seal/strip is missing. Should I worry about water running in between the top of the headlights and fenders? Or will it be fine? Thanks.
