Default Puckered rear window - no luck?

G'day,

I've got a problem with the plastic rear window on my 2000. It seems to be puckered in the centre ever since I poured hot water onto it to get rid of the fold lines (which was effective).

I poured about 80

Make sure the window is folding properly when dropping the top.

Go with the hot water again @100C and give it more than 30 mins, I did it at night and let it sit till morning then you will need to train the window with eather a tube or as Dolemike said watch it when you put the top down that it doesn't crease, sometimes you need to push the center of the window down to stop the crese/pucker from getting a memery and fold proprely. Some days I can just put the top down on others I have to push out that little crease.

Boiling water works VERY well in my case... just make sure you go side to side without touching the plastic with the container. Train it after that, and you are good to go

You can also do it with the top unlatched. Let it sit overnight, should be nice and tight when you latch it in the morning.

Excellent! That was it. Because the regular "creases" weren't there - it didn't know where to fold when it was going back in. So it was puckering up in the middle, I just had to get someone to hold it in the middle while it went in and now it's all good.

I'm assuming I'll do that for a little while and it'll start to get a feel for the creases again.

Thanks for the help guys.
