nothing wrong with that.
if you want to teach, then enlighten him...otherwsie don't get mad at him for asking and probing the reasons why. it doesn't necessarily connotate doubt in the answer, but rather a a thirst for understanding and learning.

i don't get why white lithium is bad if it's a lubricant as silicone dries up almost immediately where lithium sticks and imagine taking a jar of grease and dipping your hands in it and spreading it on the boots. It still protects it just like lithium so why can't you use lithium on boots?
