Default Problems removing cat

So today I just got my new Berk testpipe in, and I jack up my car and try to remove the cat but the bolts on the triangle side are rusted on. I broke off the square connector tooth on my socket wrench trying to get it to budge. And no, im not turning it the wrong way. What do you guys think?

I had problems removing mine also. Have you tried some lube? I used WD-40 and it helped a ton.

get that can of nut buster and it works way better than wd-40. The look of the can can fool you since it loks cheap. BUT WORKS!

Or you can cut them off if they are to badly rusted to remove.

I can't remember if these are the pressed ones you are talking about. If it was me I would cut them, you would be better off replacing them anyways.

This has happened to me twice...both time I had to cut them off and replace the bolts. I've learned my lesson now! Nut Buster to the rescue.

I had the same issue last year with mine. For two days I soaked the bolts in wd40, but day 3 they came off. If this still does not work take a torch and get them so they start to turn red, you should have no probs getting them off then.

I soaked them with the nut buster stuff but they still will not budge, and one started to strip. I think I am just going to take it to a local auto repair shop tomorrow. I know the guy that works there so I don't think he will charge me much, if any.
