The funniest part about this thread is that he saw the oil light come on, but he posted here for our advice before he went and checked the oil. Which is easier?
a) Booting up your PC, logging into S2KI, creating a new thread about VTEC problems or
b) Checking your oil level?

(For those in doubt, the answer is b CHECK YOUR OIL!!!).


I'm not saying that's necessarily the problem, but it's easy enough to verify.

If oil level is ok, the sensor which measures oil level and disables vtec if oil's so low might be malfunctionng right? bcoz he said vtec 'sometimes' doesnt work.

No point speculating. The original poster has yet to come back to tell us what he's found.
Low oil causes fluctuating oil pressure. That's why the oil light blinks on and off.

well i am like 90% sure the oil light and the vtec are off of 2 different sensers. the vtec one is right on top on the left in the engine back attached to the head (little cylinder). well i have abrand new 2.2 motor with 6 miles on it for sale if your in need

i might have to do th 2.5 haha... but this motor is so clean it might be hard to part with it. we'll see i am always open for offers

Hmm... I got a nice f20c motor, may need a lil work (lol, ya right). And i'll throw in a nice Ipod just because you were helpfull in my thread. Lol, well if you ever do let it go, let me know. I will definitely need a motor.
