Problem with headlight - please help!
Several months ago I cleared my headlights. The seal on the right light must not have been perfect, because moisture started building up in the light. Now the right headlight doesn't work. I checked the fuses and they're fine, and I switched the relays - same problem. Then I figured it was the bulb, but when I first turn the headlights on, the right bulb goes on for a split second, then goes out. It wouldn't go on at all if it were burnt. Anyone have any ideas? I am taking it to an S2000-owning mechanic tomorrow to trouble-shoot, but any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

According to the Helm manual "check list", your next step would have been to substitute a known good bulb and see what happens. If same results, then substitute a known good inverter and see what happens.
You could have a bad bulb or a bad inverter.

We'll swap the complete units tomorrow when we have the bumper off. My dealer told me aprox. 175 for 1 hid bulb. Then a s2ki member who works for Honda told me 40-50 bucks. Anyone buy a bulb lately or price one out?

Fixed...Seems moisture leaked into the inverter unit, shorting it out. Dis-assembled the inverter unit and dried it with compressed air, good as new.

xviper: Thanks for pointing us in the right direction.
billman: Thanks for a great job. You are either an artistic mechanic or a mechanical artist, I havn't decided yet. Anyway, I am sooo happy - I can drive at night!
