Ok, so I got my motor all back, we got everything in, BUT IT WONT START... we got one check engine code for a sensor, fixed that and no more check engine codes.
It seems lke something with the ignition, cause when we try to start the car, you can hear it trying to start but, I dont think its getting the spark? what could it be, and it smells like fuel after,
Changed the plugs .. still no luck, Also I had an emanage in the car before the motor went bad, and we did the wiring over while there was no motor in the car. Check all the wiring when we took the emanage off and put everything back to stock. seems fine.
Could it be the timing? Keep in mind this motor came in pieces, had to assemble it from scratch.
HELP.....
Thanks ahead of time
Greg

This is a shot in the dark but, is the map air flow sensor working/connected properly? I know if its not functioning right, the engine cuts off at like 3k and dies if no revs are given. Just an experience I had.

Time to check the Basics, if the PCM will communicate with a scan tool, you probably hooked up the wiring harness correct.
Fuel air and spark, that's what your after. Find what's missing and go from there.
If the cam timing is in question, pull the valve cover and check it.
