previous owner welded bolts to strut!

I had the impression it was the top bolts???

You unbolt the bolt not the nut...

You've posted up alot of wierd stuff lately, you should take a step back and assess the mechanical knowledge of your mechanic and yourself.

hehe...those are SUPPOSED to be there, lol.

The bolts normally get pretty tight, you just need a good breaker bar to get them loose, but don't even bother putting a wrench or anything on the nut, thats why its welded there.

Err... no... the stock shocks have a nut welded onto them... they all do. If you're trying to install aftermarket coilovers, there should be a seperate nut provided... If not, the nut size should be M12x1.25

I just got that message my mechanic knows alot.

haha this is too funny.. but yea.. your coilovers didn't come with nuts? A service manual would be excellent for future reference. if you need an online pdf version let me know and i can try to upload it for you.

dude, those are supposed to be that way, thats what everyone is telling you. its hondas way of making it easy to assemble at the plant. just use a new nut on your new struts. done deal. smile, everyone brain farts now and again. later dave
