The leeather is off of it, other than that it's fine. You can put the leather back on I just don't feel like taking the time to do so as I am replacing it soon.

I did a clutch job for a friend and his titanium knob was damn-near welded on with some kind of epoxy or something. I had to use a pair of vice grips on the shifter and a pipe wrench on the knob to get it loose, and even then the threaded portion of the shifter broke off.

Heating the hell out of lock-tite will render it useless.

You could grab a torch but you'll ruin the paint possibly on the shift lever.

I would remove the leather from the knob....then I'd torch it and use a pipe wrench to take it off when super hot.

Glad it worked out though.

I've used a hair dryer - it gets plenty hot enough to loosen the Loc-tite without damaging anything.
