Pressure plates
I'm at 103k miles, and my clutch is going out on my AP2. I'm ordering an AP1 flywheel and OEM friction plate. I see that the ACT HD pressure plate is a common upgrade choice, but also read the horror stories about crankwalk or at the least increased wear on a dry thrust bearing that requires a start bypass to mitigate. I don't plan on upgrading the engine beyond stock or going forced induction, so would an ACT really give me anything over OEM if I'm already putting an AP1 flywheel in? This is a daily that sees occasional mountain drives, so I'm looking for a balance between reliability and performance.

Easy answer. Just go all OEM and you will sleep well at night. You just cannot beat the OEM stuff for longevity and performance.
Take a look at all the threads on clutch replacement so you know all the goodies to replace and especially lube with proper grease to ensure smooth operation.

I was thinking of grabbing the OEM clutch kit from Evasive given they're local. Price difference between them and HondaPartsNow is minimal though I did grab the AP1 flywheel of HPN.

Even if you wind up paying a few extra bucks, it will be worth it. There has been a recent thread on eBay clutch kit that appear to be legit. Will get the link.

Might be a good deal for someone if not me. $669 for all that's a pretty sweet deal right now based on what I've seen.

Legit gonna save $400 from my original intended setup. And all the savings will be funneled back into the car in some other magical way I imagine.

This kit seems legit. I recently bought it.
FCC OEM Honda clutch kit.
OEM clutch plate on left (from Honda Parts Now). Kit part on right. ↑

Pressure plate, throw-out bearing, & pilot bearing from kit. ↓

So if I understand correctly, the only difference is the throwout and pilot bearings are Nachi? Or is Nachi the manufacturer that Honda did use? I would consider getting the $182 throwout and the $20 pilot bearing off hondaparts, but if they're the same OEM manufacturer, it wouldn't make sense. I just don't wanna think about a clutch job for years and years after this so wanna do it right lol.
The PP on hondaparts is the real killer there:

The Nachi throw-out and pilot seem legit. I don't have the Honda OEM parts from a dealer.
The Nachi part number for the T/O bearing is: 68SCRG42S9-1CS
The Nachi part number for the pilot bearing is: 6904-2NSE
