Default preping an intake manifold for chroming

i did a thread earlier about how to bore your intake. here is another thread on how to prep it for chroming. this manifold was bored to 70mm.


after welding, facing the tb surface, boring yet to be done:


after cleaning up the iacv ports. 70mm compared to 66mm


all taped up ready to be sand blasted:

I don't think I've ever seen a thread with pictures showing every step of the process.

Thanks for taking time to illustrate and compare. even the blasted pics look better then oem. removing that material can save some weight and reduce the amount of heatsoak aswell.
