Default Preloading suspension

I installed the Eibach Pro Kit and was wondering if I performed the correct preloading procedure. I rested the rotor on a piece of wood to simulate the tire being on the car and torqued the associated suspension bolts. There is no weight on the jack. Is this the correct preloading procedure? Thanks

Thanks, that's the first method I tried. I put a jack under the lower control arm and had it tucked so far in the wheel well and thought I'd better not go any further or I might break something. I never did get it to lift off the stands. There were some rubbing issues after the first time I did it and now with not so much preload the gap looks a little better. The factory manual does not show you how to preload, it just tells you to preload it.
