Power Steering failure

Been having some trouble after a clutch job. After clocking 60k miles, had a new clutch (OEM) put in with lightened flywheel (toda) installed.
Had CEL after picking up the car, it turned out to be a loose knock sensor cable. They have since rectified that.
Also noticed no power assist on the steering while turning to the right (clockwise), but turning to the left (anti clockwise) is fine. The problem resolve after a bit of driving, and surfaces intermittently while driving. No EPS light when that happens. Interestingly, the steering is also mildly malaligned. I.E. there abt a 10 degree turn to the left if you need to go straight.
Prior to this, I noticed occ juddering in the steering when the car is left overnight occasionally. I put that down to insufficient current to power the power steering electric motor as the battery is kind of old.
The workshop claimed that they were nowhere close to the steering rack while dropping the transmission.
Can anyone help.
Thank you in advance.

the workshop is full o shit. if memory serves me correctly, they actually have to disconnect an eps wire/line somewhere when they drop the tranny. otherwise they wouldn't be able to drop the tranny without pulling/damaging it. take it back to the shop. the part i'm talking about is in the helm's manual.

make them go for a drive with you, with you driving once and them driving once. point out that the steering isn't working. talk to the owner/manager if need be.
