Power loss coming out of corner
Ive noticed it before, but I was low on fuel the other times but not this time. But this morning (it was cold as hell outside, 27f) the car was warmed up to 3 bars on the temp gauge. I take this sorta sharp corner and at half aggressive pace (tires werent warm but car wasnt getting loose on the rear) and I feel the car stop to give power but revs were up I think and the engine wasnt stalling. I let off the throttle and pressed back down and it kept going like normal. Would this be caused by the MAP sensor and should I give it a good ol whack? Just wanting to know if something else could be the culprit.

Wow. Could have been one of a hundred things. If you didn't get a CEL and it doesn't happen again, I wouldn't worry about it. If it continues, we'll need more info to diagnose it.
Go ahead and whack the MAP just for good measure.

Well, ive had a CEL for about the past year now... between the bad catalytic converter and my test pipe. My o2 sensor is bad... I replaced it and tried to make the mechanical o2 sim but the Bosch sensor i bought wouldnt fit! Doh! Ill go to Autozone today and have them pull the codes to make sure nothing new chimed in.

Could the tires have been slipping without you realizing it since it was so cold out, and nothing was warmed up yet. That would explain why the revs were up but no power. You gennerally don't hear any screaching sounds when the tires let loose when it's that cold.

I wish I could say that they tires were slipping, but I doubt that they were. I wouldnt rule out the possiblity but given the point of the corner where the power loss occurred had the tires slipped I should have gotten a little tail wag going on. Plus I could kinda feel the car buck, once I let off the throttle and got back on it... all was ok.
Phil, thats not the first time Ive had that said to me before

Yea, bad clutch was similar to the type of problem. And if i do recall correctly i was shifting to 3rd at the point this happened... so maybe my clutch is about to go? I wouldnt put it past i do have lots of miles on the car. But it shifts fine... even when rode hard.
