Default Possible engine problem?

The other day on the way home from work I started the car and got a check engine light (cylinder 2 misfire). I was running all 4 cylinders so I replaced the spark plugs and idle/startup is soooo much better. What I'm concerned with I have a '00 w/ 52k miles and it had Bosch plugs in it. Plus the middle two cylinder plugs had no tip left, it looked like they had both corroded. I just bought the car about 3 months ago with 48k miles.

My question is why would it have Bosch plugs in it before 50k miles?
And what could cause them to corrode that bad in the middle two cylinders?

Everythings ok now I just want to take steps to prevent further problems, thanks!

Pics!

I heard form a guy who worked on a ton of hondas in the 90's that hondas hate Bosch plugs. Don't know why, though.

Corroded? like rust or deteriorated? Probably severe engine knock/pinging.

Unfortunately I through them away...

There wasn't any rust at all just corrosion.
My question is why the previous owner had to change the spark plugs already

Maybe he didn't bother to read the servicing routine and didn't know that NGKs last for ages.

I'd give her a full service if I were you.

Depends what Bosch plugs they were. In some places it is a hassle to get the OEM NGKs, while other people aren't prepared to pay the steep price. Of course they don't realize what the interval for changing them is.

Yea hopefully that was it

I've pretty much done everything I can think of (trans fluid, oil change, repaired rear bearings and replaced leaking clutch master cylinder). I probably need to change the brake fluid while at it.

Thanks for the input!

Sparkplugs are pretty cheap. Perhaps he changed them during a maintenance and chose the wrong type of plug? I've changed my plugs on my car about 4 times already and have about 44K miles.
