Default Popping noise when braking

Whenever the car is somewhat cold and I apply the brakes I hear a loud popping noise. I can feel it in the pedal, and I'm pretty positive it's not the pad shifting, because it is much louder than that. I've also noticed that it sometimes happens when I turn and apply the brakes at the same time.

This just recently started to happen, and I don't know if it has something to do with the hardtop I just put on...I don't know why that would make this noise start happening.

I searched and found something similar being the caster adjuster bolt, and will be getting an alignment on Thursday, but until then does anyone have any suggestions to look for.
