popping noise from the driver's side back
I heard this pop sound from the driver side back , seems like when I go over a bump or have a jumpy start
anyone know anything in the back suspension that can make such noise.

It could be:
1) bad shock
2) bad bushing
3) axle hub nut (less likely unless you hear the pop when the car 1st starts moving in the morning)
Hub nut is easiest to fix...just needs to be tightened by a mechanic to 220ft-lb.

Not expensive...probably s2ker in your area will have the 36mm socket and big torque wrench needed and can do it for free. Takes 10min per side at most.
If you go to a mechanic TELL them the torque setting. Don't let them choose or look at the manual (manual is wrong...Honda put out a correction that did not make it to most).
DO IT NOW...or your bearings will fail and you will then be paying big bucks for the repair.

it won't pop when you put it in gear.. It will pop when you 1st take off. If it pops when you physically put the car into 1st, its for the following reason: basically when in neutral, the engine is spinning the input side of the tranny. When you depress the clutch, the tranny is still spinning. When you engage 1st gear, the tranny is abruptly stopped and this causes the clunk you hear. You can avoid this by depressing the clutch, and waiting a second longer for the tranny to stop spinning.

also check your ball joint and make sure its tight. and while you have the wheel off check to make sure all your bushing points and shock mounts are tight. take the wheel off and back on are the hard work, spend the 5min and check all those points while the wheel is off to speed up the diagnostic process.
