I do not currently own an S2k but am in the process of it depending on if the insurance totals my 07 Si or not....I went and test drove an 02 Suzuka yesterday in China Grove, NC. It's got 82000 miles on it and they are asking 17k for it. Anyway when i start to pull out of the dealership I hear the rear end pop twice once from each side. It continued to do it every time i would start from a complete stop. I don't know how long the car has been sitting there so could it be from just lack of driving? Once the car heated up it ran all the way up to 9k just fine and sounded great no knocking or pecking comming from the motor or tranny.

sounds like the axle spindle nuts are out of torque. if its a honda dealership, they should know how to re-torque/fix the problem. if this isnt done soon enough, the hub and bearing will take a beating and they will then HAVE to be replaced.

your going to go from a 07 SI to a old busted s2k? I just bought an 07 s2k and my roommate has the 07 SI Sedan, I do have to say the new SI is a BLAST to drive! Granted not AS nice as the s2k, but i would much rather have an 07 SI over an old busted s2k. if you can afford 1 or 200 extra a month you can hop into a brand new s2k though..
