Default Plugs help

So I have tried PFR7G-11S and IFR7G-11KS plugs when I first got the car. As soon as I fired up the engine it started hesistating and the car did not run right, is sounded like a lawnmover. I put the old plugs back on they are NGK non-resistor V-power R5672A-8 and it was fine.
Those are the only plugs I can use in my car gapped to .041" and looking online for recomended plugs, they don't show up as part of the list.
I do have to replace them every 3 months or so. The only good thing is they are dirt cheap. Is a 2001 AP1 with 132K on the clock, is was 105K when I first tried other plugs.

Does anyone had or have the same problem?
Any recomendations?

I also have an '01 S2K with 88K on the odometer. I have owned it since 2008 and so far have relied on the NGK Laser Iridium (IFR7G-11KS) plugs. Changing your plugs at 3 month intervals may be a bit frequent, unless you have other issues that are causing your engine to go through so many plugs.

Let us know what mods are on your engine which might stem to the frequency. Also, when did you last have the valve clearances adjusted?

Keep us posted with your progress.

You might have some bad coils perhaps they are weakening. Any plug should fire if gapped properly and if supplied sufficient current from the coils. Your non-resistor plugs might be making up for some weak coils. Coils tend to last around 100k miles , give or take. If those are original coils they may be getting weak. Just a guess here.

Just swapped mine to the NGK iridiums and the car works fine!! From what I have been told these are slightly better than the OEM NGK platinums.
Like stated above if your going through plugs so frequently then you definitely have other problems than your spark plug choice.

I have a Injen full intake, invidia test pipe and tsudo dual exhaust, and valves got adjusted a little over a year. Nothing fancy at all, I do know my car was SC or TC cuz the front bumper looks trim to fit an intercooler or something, plus there are some scratches close to the battery and the exhaust manifold area.
Once in a while the car acts like is misfiring for like a second or two, but no codes at all.
I think I should change my coils like JFUSION said, I though about that a long time ago, but never did; then see what happen.
It is a daily driver but I do not mess with her too much, once in a while i go crazy on her (9k shifts all the way) so it never forgets is a performance car.

I prefer to run the NGK V-Power plugs in all my cars listed below.

My 03S has good power & econo using the NGK BKR7E ( or 6E) gapped @039.

Good cheap ($2.50 ea) and last about 25k.

IMO...
