Default Please help a noob with whistle noise

I am looking to buy a 2001 AP1 with 37k miles from a used car lot, and the car looks perfect in every way. But when I test drove it, I noticed a soft whistle noise as I gas. The whistling sound would increase as The rpm goes up and tone down when I let go of the gas or come to a stop.

Is it would the engine suppose to sound or was it the wind noise? I just can't tell since I have never driven a s2k and convertible before.

Thanks for any inputs.

Might just be the transmission whine, since your sitting practically on top of it. Is it high pitched? Where is it coming from?

I feel like it was coming from the front, but I might be wrong. Also, it was a very very small noise. I had to turn off the radio to hear it.

this is normal it's the throttle valve
you can try cleaning it with throttlebody or injection cleaner
and it will probably go away

it's normal usually goes from a audible to inaudible as you give more throttle
