Default PLEASE HELP ME OUT GUYS!

I know this post might b in the wrong forum but I didn't really get any help in the mechanical discussion forum. So please forgive me and help me out guys!!!
What are the symptoms of an input shaft bearing gone bad? The other day I was driving my s2k when in second gear it started making a loud rattleling noice! So I went back home and started checking under the car and noticed that the noice was coming from inside the tranny! Another thing is that the noice would go away when pressing the clutch! Drove it around the block and the noice started to appear on every gear even when in neutral! Are my suspicions of a bad INPUT SHAFT BEARING correct!?

yes it is the input shaft bearing if what your saying is true. This seems to be a popular problem lately.

Yup, wrong forum. Even if you're not getting the traffic you'd like. Otherwise we'd have people posting "FS and WTB" threads here because it suits them.

Moving thread now.

When you depress the clutch, the noise is gone?
...then its your clutch bearing.
A bad clutch bearing when no load will make a rattling sound. When you press the clutch, you are putting a load and supress the noise.

Try to take out the clutch boot and spray the bearing with some lubricant (if you can reach it). Maybe the clutch bearing simply dirty and need of lubricant.
