His builder did. But when I had pm'd him I asked him if he'd give me a warranty when I bought the diff from him. Scot said "if the diff breaks I'll give you your money back" before I bought it. then he and his builder started saying it was my mechanics fault, that he didnt put oil in it. Which is obviously not true as my meachanic is a transmission and driveline shop. It's not that hard to know what oil to put in and the capacity. So I told them to send the diff down to s2kpuddydad so that we'd have an unbiased opinion just as you see it in the quote's above...........

Lucky for me Ben took that diff towards the rebuild of my OEM 4.10. It doesn't help the (2) $300 uninstall/install charges I paid for the the diffs to get swapped back and forth. Scot pretty much just disregarded anything I said and told me that I was lying about the price of the swaps. Really all and all a pretty rough experience. The drive out to him to buy the diff alone was a pain. Then to get left high and dry after everything... If it weren't for Ben I'd likely still be paying for a rental car and searching for another diff. I understand he now has a crx for sale on the forum, I can only hope the buyer of that doesn't get one Scot's special "Warranty's" like I did..,

sorry to hear all this still isnt getting resolved. Read your post in Metro and just came over here to chime in, in the public eye. Scot and his builder should be paying out of pocket for thsi. I can see maybe theyd only split the install/uninstall but they should def refund the money for the diff, esp after someone like ben looked at it and gave all his finidings. Hope it gets worked out and see you at the next humpday

Yes it was the one listed for sale in PA and yes lucky you for not buying it. It was really disppointing too being that I was looking forward to getting some use out of the new gear ratio.

There's nothing your installer could have done to cause this damage in the course of putting this diff in your car. You definitely got hosed...
