I eventually talked to two people at American Honda. They gave the same answer. There is no current plan for Honda to make a retro kit. They both happily informed me the hard top has glass (duh). I think they want to to see if they sell lots of hardtops before they think it is financially worth it to look into making a retro kit. I suspect their rationale is that in the summer the top is down, and in the winter the hard top is on. It was much easier and cheaper to engineer a slightly different convertable top with glass than a retro kit. There have been a lot of complaints called in to the 1-800 #. However, I'm sure the aftermarket will solve our problem. There is obvious demand. Even the Honda person said to look to the aftermarket.

so does anyone know of ANYTHING that aftermarket has done? if not, i'm gonna start my OWN cutom modifying...i'm tired of waiting....

You need to PM clovis to get the low down on what you are thinking of doing with the '02 top.
