My clutch blew out a while back and I have just gotten around to fixing it. I have done some research and I am looking at the Competition Clutch Brand from Automotivespeed. My car is completely stock right now but will not be for long. I intend on going turbo with in the next year. My question is I am looking at the Stage 2 clutch with a Ultra Light Flywheel (9.5LBS) right now should I get that or a Stage 3 for the same price. Is there any drawback to putting a stronger clutch in a stock S2000? Neither of these clutches disc are puck style.
I have heard things like a Stage 3 will destroy my Diff and Tranny and will not last me as long as a Stage 2 would. Is there any truth to that. I do drive my car hard and I do Autocross about 2 times a month. Also this is my Daily Driver so I need the least amount of downtime and it needs to be reliable....Thanks for all your input....John.

Hardtopguy has a clutch kit that is very popular on these forums. I havent heard a bad thing about the kit and you can also get a lightened comptech flywheel with it. They are having a special on the kit right now. Check the group buys.

I have it installed in my car. Not a peep out of it. Whomever you heard that from was just flat out full of I ran that kit with a turbo as well. It held the load and still not a peep. Don't let the marketing
get you to buy anything. By installing a stronger clutch, you are moving the weak spot of the drive line from where Honda put it. So as you add more power, something will have to give. If you don't (or plan to) hard launch the car (1/4 miles) then the rest of the drive line will be fine.

I've installed about 20 hardtopguy kits, with not a single issue.
I've done 2 CC. Both competition clutches units have extremely bad decel buzz.

You were told wrong
You want an awesome clutch, with no decel buzz, and that has proven to handle 600 hp, get the Hardtopguy kit.
No matter what, I would always:
Use oem disc (comes with HTG kit)
Use ACT PP (comes with HTG kit)
Take your pic of Comptech (comes with HTG kit) or Toda flywheel. I've done enough of them to know all this stuff is the way to go.
It is very important to get it done by a qualified guy. It is very easy to bend the disc and damage the PP if you try to cheat the trans out of the car. Follow the book to the T.
20+ HTG kits installed don't lie. Those who've had issues should check with the installer.
