Default play in axle, means it's bad?

Symptom:

Trying to see if my axle is bad or something since I'm getting a very slight noise out of my rear end area(I think). It occurs when I'm at speed and will slightly die down when I clutch in but I can still hear it faintly.

Car info:

My car is a 2001 lowered by .75 or so and doesn't have the half-shaft spacers. It has 75k on it with about 900 miles being lowered.

What I've tried to do/check:

I am able to pull my axle from side(left) to side(right) minimally on both sides but the passenger side has more play. Also I'm able to go forward and backward a smidgen on the passenger side only.

I checked the wheels to see if they have play but they don't. Axle nuts are at 220 ft/lb. Boots are clean and not torn. Wheels don't have flat spots and balanced.

what kind of noise? It might be your differential or your wheel bearings. axles shouldn't make to much noise

It's a very light cyclical groan. That dies down after I clutch in. I can faintly hear it afterwards. Doesn't happen all the time either.

from my experience the passenger side axle has a bit of movement in/out where as the d/s has none.

sounds like a bad wheel bearing.

I'm startuing to think so too. The play is on the hub side of the axle.

Play on the hub is most likely a wheel bearing or ball joints

Safe to say wheel bearing? Or how can I tell the difference if it's one or the other? The play was at the axle going intothr hub. Shaking of the wheel didn't have any wobble.

Okay I took some video of the noise. Doesn't seem to be coming from the wheels but more from the transmission... More odd noises in the second vid. I do normally have a lot of clutch buzz but this didn't sound like it at all. Possibly since the car doesn't have any load on the wheels?
